Yahoo! Search Marketing

New Info to Chew On
Now you have more ways to keep tabs on your account
You shouldn’t be intimidated by reports—whether it’s a report card, a weather report or the cover sheet for a TPS report.

Our Ad Performance Reports, located under the Reports tab in your Sponsored Search account, help you understand how your ads are performing. You should use this report to help identify the ads that most effectively generate leads, conversions and revenue.

More Performance-yWhat’s new about the Ad Performance Report is that we recently added three new report columns:

Ad ID column – This column displays your Ad’s ID number.
Ad: – This column provides a visual representation of your ad, including its title, short description and display URL.
Destination URL

You can also download the report with the new columns, too.

These enhancements can give you more insight, control and better transparency into how well your ads are doing. The new columns let you view ad content and ad performance together, plus you can see how each live ad is performing in relation to other ads in your portfolio. Or you might want to gauge the impact of changing your ad copy or destination URL.

Status CheckIt’s also important to know if your campaigns, ad groups, keywords and ads are offline or online — and why. That’s why we’ve moved all of our ad statuses into a single column, making it easier to know the status of a campaign object and the reason for that status.

Sometimes your campaigns, ad groups, keywords and ads can have multiple statuses. You may make changes to your account to get it back online but it remains offline because of other reasons.

With the new column, if an object is affected by more than one status — for example, if you’ve paused an ad and it’s been declined for editorial reasons — you’ll see the highest priority status first, and then the next-highest priority as you clear up the obstacles to getting it back online. So in this case, if you unpause your ad, you may see the “editorial declined” status next.

By the way, these enhancements are also available in all of our global markets, and to our Mobile Sponsored Search advertisers. Take a moment to check them out and see how they help you understand what’s happening to your account.
